President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has officially become a “adopted son” of the Camarines Sur province, the home territory of Leni Robredo, his main adversary in the 2022 elections.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camarines Sur passed a resolution on Thursday naming Marcos as the province’s adopted son, according to governor Luigi Villafuerte.
He said in his remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the government’s housing project in the province, “For all that you have done for the province of Camarines Sur, as a way of expressing our everlasting gratitude for all that you have done, please allow me to present to you the resolution by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camarines Sur, declaring you, Mr. President, as the adopted son of Camarines Sur.
For the opening of a “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” outlet in the province and the groundbreaking ceremony for the housing project, Marcos traveled to Camarines Sur.
Also, he would oversee the disbursement of P826.1 million in assistance to Bicol farmers.
